Mr Terry has been tutoring our three children aged 12, 10 and 7 since March 2023. He has provided the children a safe space to grow their passion for music and our children are always happy to have lessons with him even when they have had a hard day at school.

After being Terry's student for over a year, I have learned theory, techniques, playing by ear, guitar effects, and helpful advice about gear. Besides learning a lot from him, he has also inspired me to continue playing the instrument. When you are a beginner, it is easy to practice everyday, because it is something new and interesting. However, after a while, you will not be driven to keep practicing if there is no inspiration, and watching him play right in front of me is a lot more inspiring than watching a youtube video.

He is also a really cool guy. If he is free after class, we chat for a while and talk about gear or sometimes something not even about guitar. He will occasionally bring a different guitar to class and let me try playing on it. It is nice to be able to feel some of the differences between guitars. He has taught me a lot about guitar and also introduced me to new music and how to continue improving on my own.
